Insurance Coverage and Additional Protections

WHICH COVERAGES DOES THE INDICATED RATE CONTAIN?

When you hire a car from Sunset Rent a Car, you always have Civil Liability cover included, in accordance with the legal provisions of the rental. This cover is automatically included in the rental at no extra cost. The scope of the cover provided depends on the package requested (BASIC, PLUS, PREMIUM and Glass, Headlights, Wheels and Tyres Cover).

CAN I GET ADDITIONAL COVERAGE OR PROTECTION?

Extra cover can be purchased at the time of booking and at the time of delivery of the vehicle, i.e. at the start of the Hire Contract. If any extra insurance cover is requested during the course of the Hire Contract, the Customer must, before it can be accepted by SUNSET and then declared void, go to a SUNSET station so that the vehicle can be inspected to ascertain whether or not it has any new damage, compared to the damage report submitted at the start of the Hire Contract. If there is new damage, the Customer must first pay off the value of this new damage and only then can the extra insurance protection be purchased and activated.

WHAT IS THE VALUE OF ADDITIONAL COVERAGE?

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED ADDITIONAL COVERAGE SERVICE FROM ANOTHER COMPANY?

Please note that this cover is not the responsibility of Sunset Rent a Car. If the vehicle suffers any damage during the rental period, you will have to pay the full amount of the damage to Sunset Rent a Car. In any case, you will have to pay the excess or take out additional cover.
