WHEN PURCHASING THE PREMIUM PACKAGE, IS IT NECESSARY TO LEAVE A DEPOSIT?

Yes. Even if you have purchased the Premium package, a fuel deposit will be required, this deposit will depend on the selected group. At the end of the reservation and checking the status of the fuel tank by the Sunset rent a car employee (Check Out vs Check In), the deposit is returned within a maximum period of 5 working days within the Unicre network. At the end of the reservation you will receive confirmation of the deposit by email.

WHAT IS A FRANCHISE AND WHAT IS IT FOR?

Upon signing the rental agreement, a deductible (1) is blocked. The blocking is done through the driver’s credit card linked to it. If there is no further damage on return of the vehicle, the blocked amount is also released. If you return the car with additional damage, Sunset rent a car will charge the budgeted amount of the repair + daily vehicle stoppage fee, except in cases of negligence where any coverage purchased is void, leaving the customer responsible for the total amount of the repair.

IS THERE ANY WAY TO ELIMINATE THE FRANCHISE?

Yes. In Groups E, C, CP and D, when taking out Premium coverage, you can reduce the deductible to zero (0), provided that these are not considered a negligent act of driving.
